In Egypt, 119 people infected with Ascaris lumbricoides were treated with pyrantel pamoate and 41 were treated with piperazine phosphate. Cure rates of 90, 90 and 100% were obtained with pyrantel pamoate at 2.5, 5 and 10 mg. per kg. body-weight, respectively. 4.0 g. piperazine phosphate gave 70.7% cure. Side effects were slight.
